In case you did not receive the April 6 e-mail from Elite regarding yard signs, here is the text:
Every year on the 4th of July we pause to recall our independence from British rule and to honor Thomas Jefferson who was the principal author of the Declaration Of Independance and our 3rd President. This lovely community is aptly named after his beloved home of Monticello.
We hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday weekend and please clean up your fireworks debris after the show.....thanks from your neighbors.
With Sympathy
The residents of Monticello Parke wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Don Haas and his family on the passing of his wife Adoree' on July 12th.
The residents of Monticello Parke also wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Karen Crombie and her family on the recent passing of her mother June Vogelsberg.
Trash Containers & Litter
We ask that all residents to please keep their trash and recycle containers out of sight on those days when pickup is not scheduled. We also ask that you pick up litter from the street in front of your home or sidewalk. We are the only ones who can keep our neighborhood looking beautiful.
Water those trees
The trees in front of your home near your mailbox are your responsibility. Please be sure to give them a long drink of water during these long dry summer days. If they die because of your neglect you will have to pay for replacements.
Newsletter contributions needed
We need information or articles of interest to our neighborhood for publication in our on-line newsletter. We have had some very interesting articles in the past and we hope to continue with more in the future but we need you to help. Please call, email, or send articles, information, news, ideas, tips and suggestions of interest to our neighborhood and we will add them to upcoming newsletters.
